Boundless Curiosity

a poem

Grace all of humanity

with boundless curiosity

let us build a world of peace

forever green—abundant treats

the earth a haven meant for all

we’ll nourish to prevent the fall

rising back into ourselves

with every conscious being as well

I pray for change from deep within

each human being known where they’ve been

finding truth about their spark

their home out deep in the dark

earth a time that will soon pass

blessed each moment when we grasp

the fleetingness of it all

the preciousness of each fall

special moments shared with those

with whom our hearts are born to love

every bird and leaf and tree

mother’s gift to humanity

a call to find again our hearts

and beam them out into the stars
