You don't have to believe in the spiritual forces surrounding us to be mindful and notice that the pursual of self-realization through knowing and taking better care of yourself yields immediate fruits.
Calmness, balance, peace, harmony, reception; a magnetism to draw the very things towards you that you were trying to go grasp with control—all of this comes naturally once you no longer strive towards achieving it through force. The way we make efforts is crucial. Hope is something we all must realize exists within ourselves without fail, no matter how deeply we bury it. Live with your hopes, but allow them to change as you do, and for any pain these hopes may elicit to illuminate the parts of your ego that are hurt. Choose to let these resentments go as they are not serving your greatest good. Know this may take time, but intend to release them and you will be led to do so.
Never define yourself, you are beyond definition. You are the wind and the trees and the earth and the stars. Petty things like possessions sate the ego while it still struggles with superficiality and lack mindset. Let the ego have their comforts. But let them fade. They are dying and it is beautiful. They are ready to go. So, send them out in comfort and style and play. And do not control who you are becoming in their stead. Discover it, day by day, moment by moment.
There is no way to do this wrong. If you’re here, you are doing a great job. Allow yourself grace. There is no failure, even when you resist learning the lessons of your challenges. Even when you spend years in denial and not facing your demons. That time is divine. That time is adding to the power of the alchemy to come. It is needed. Accept yourself as you are right now, but know that you will never be this self again. Not for another moment.
There are as many versions of us as there are moments in our lives. And these moments are written in eternity. Outside of time these moments are part of a tapestry that never fades. Whether you perceive these as good or bad memories, they add to the depth of your self understanding and the collective growth and learning for which is the reason we are all here.
