a poem

of all the pains that tortured me

one act alone would set me free

having held it in so long

I broke inside where I’d been strong

a walking corpse for all to see

denied a vital part of me

never saying those three words

you always told would end our world

I held them in so very long

sent them in too many songs

I tried to say them every way

but three dumb words must have their day

I’m crazy, but you felt it too
