Chapter Thirty-Four
Filed down to the bone—raw—everything felt within Rory Tyrell was now whole. She saw through walls. Beyond the barriers of defiance would prove her soul’s true purpose. This system had seemed hers to save.
Something was figured. A change of pace in the movements—a staggering of force—saw Elliot Harper’s Exile exhumed into action. Force had taken the man. He wouldn’t hold his tongue when speaking to this threat he knew his greater. Rory had been patrolling the boundary of her light in Monarch as his message came blaring through every apt electronic in the system.
“You all are about to learn what you’ve been fucking with. This is not what you thought it was. My boy! You took my boy! I’m gonna fuck every last one of you to death for that. He’s coming home!”
“You need to know. I’m the one, dudes. I’m the fucking one. You fucked with the wrong mother fucker!”
He’d cut the line and launched his salvo. It was beyond that of brunt explosive force. It was created by wisdom channeled at will but kept locked inside his connection to Empress Lithia. She’d come to join him at last. Her gift of transportation through time and space in the physical was unique in that it brought her wholly. Every bit of self would always be contained with the shell of this woman made for her unique purposes. She was a disciple of the god Tetra, the same of Ecatosh so brought to his knees before Echo. Lithia had not a clue the throne she believed herself to hold in heaven lost—the power she wielded was too great and she’d never feel an ounce of the encumbrance Echo might wish upon her.
As the dark womb of vanta-nether closeted her within its hold—she’d feel home—Empress Lithia would use it to move herself like Silence. She’d displace by will. Now present aboard Exile she’d stood towering over the system in energy. Her darkest projections borne of the same force she’d use to hurl herself through space would have the barriers fall.
Every missile fired would make it through.
The Foundry was coming out to play. Rory worked in dispatching the first volley. War Cry and Poe followed up with all the force they’d wield from their twin cannons. Demi Annexa was riding Onslaught hot. Jocé Remance was somewhere nearby in Silence. Coral and Twister were unleashed.
It was Lauren who’d be showing off.
He was back in form and mind as things coalesced again to stillness within by right of his newfound joy. He’d been discovering notions of personality most others would ignore. Something inside himself had taught of a strange place he’d feel most romantically and passionately at home; with himself.
Lauren’s gender was a shifting thing and they would feel more at home in these times to come for being seen as their masculine aspect brought forth by the need arisen. Control was being levied against the innocent and he would see it to be undone.
Thirteen blaring trails of fury went past the barrier as Ender blasted through itself. He wasn’t going to settle for anything but victory and holding off the swarming goonships would be nothing but a cakewalk to his peers. He wanted Elliot Harper.
